Data Automation - capture practically any data!
Data automation is a large portion of TechWare LogBook. Capturing data automatically increases the accuracy of your data by reducing key punch errors, paper, and time. TechWare LogBook virtually captures data from nearly any source without operator intervention.
How does TechWare LogBook capture data?
- Instruments such as scales, tensile testers, calipers, and gauges usually are captured via RS232 protocols or USB.
- “Smart” machines such as Uster Technologies HVI, AFIS, Evenness, Tensile testers have a predefined data format for the given device. Templates are created providing a mapping structure that LogBook uses to import this data. Other manufactures such as Textechno, Instron, Zwick and MTS also have the capability to provide data.
- Microsoft Excel or structured data can be imported into TechWare LogBook.
- Some devices, such as the older Uster UT3’s and Tensorapid machines require an active interface that prompts the device for information. Again, all of this is done without operator intervention.
